IoTeX & GEODNET: GEO-PULSE with ioID is LIVE!

IoTeX and GEODNET's groundbreaking collaboration for GEO-PULSE x ioID is now LIVE! As GEO-PULSE devices are now being shipped to early adopters, we've activated the end-to-end tech stack that powers this first-of-its-kind use case. This collaboration integrates ioID and W3bstream to GEODNET's new GEO-PULSE device, bringing verifiability to DePIN devices and bootstrapping IoTeX's DePIN x AI data pool using real world data (more to come on this soon!). Starting today, GEO-PULSE owners will earn $GEOD tokens by completing "Quests" on the GEODNET network, as well as $IOTX tokens for registering an ioID for their device and verifying their location data via W3bstream. You will also be one of the first-ever contributors to the DePIN x AI movement, and there is a total of $100,000 in IOTX tokens up for grabs! Setup Guide for GEO-PULSE Owners

Once you receive your GEO-PULSE device, get ready to earn $GEOD and $IOTX tokens by completing driving quests and sharing your location data. Check out the full setup tutorial here and our summary below:

1. GEO-PULSE owners will go through the standard registration flow by booting up their device and connecting their device to the GEODNET mobile app via bluetooth. This will require users to input their Solana address into the app to earn $GEOD tokens on the Solana network.
2. To register your IoTeX address, visit the "Quest" tab in the GEODNET mobile app and toggle the registration button, as shown in the graphic below. This will prompt you to enter your IoTeX address (in 0x... format), which you can create via ioPay (mobile) or MetaMask (desktop).

3. Once you register your Solana and IoTeX addresses in the GEO-PULSE mobile app, you are ready to start your quests! You will earn $GEOD tokens by completing 10 moving points within a specific hex, with the potential to earn multipliers for being one of the first users to map new hexes. Learn more here.
4. In addition to completing specific quests to earn $GEOD tokens, you will also earn $IOTX tokens every day that verify that your GEO-PULSE equipped vehicle is moving. Specifically, GEO-PULSE devices automatically send data every 5 minutes to W3bstream, and any GEO-PULSE device that reports 5 or more unique geo-coordinates within 24 hours will earn $IOTX tokens.

It's that simple! From a user's perspective, it is incredibly easy to register your device to the GEO-PULSE mobile app and beging mining $GEOD and $IOTX tokens. But behind the scenes, there is sophisticated technology that fuels this first-of-its-kind verifiable DePIN use case. Read on to learn more!

GEO-PULSE x ioID Technology

GEO-PULSE is a revolutionary DePIN device that easily installs on the dashboard of a car, providing high-precision lane-level positioning with 10x more accuracy than traditional GPS. As GEO-PULSE navigates everyday drivers, commercial truckers, and Uber drivers alike, it also collects valuable real world information that is verified via IoTeX's tech stack, including ioID and W3bstream. The IoTeX and GEODNET teams have worked together closely to create a seamless integration of our technologies and a frictionless onboarding process for users, which is summarized below.

• When a GEO-PULSE is booted up for the first time, an ioID is automatically created to register the device's identifying information to the IoTeX blockchain. The user will receive an ioID NFT in their IoTeX wallet.
• As GEO-PULSE devices collect real world location data, this data will be signed on-device using ioID and sent simultaneously to GEODNET's servers as well as IoTeX's W3bstream. When the data is received by W3bstream, zero-knowledge proofs will be run on the signed data to verify the GEO-PULSE's location. A proof of liveness, proof of location, and proof of movement are then sent to IoTeX smart contracts for further verification.
• Once the zero-knowledge proofs are completed via W3bstream and verified by the on-chain verifier smart contract, $IOTX tokens will be automatically distributed from the IoTeX-GEODNET Questing rewards pool to the ioID NFT holder's wallet on the IoTeX blockchain. It's as simple as that!

Verifiability is critical to expanding demand and legitimacy for the DePIN sector. IoTeX and GEODNET are proud to pioneer the first end-to-end verifiable use case leveraging on-chain device identity and zero-knowledge proofs. By incentivizing education and participation in verifiable DePINs, we hope to inspire other DePIN projects to adopt verifiable technologies in their tech stacks, as well as drive new demand-side participants to utilize verifiable DePIN offerings.
